Dustin Olson

Chief Executive Officer

Dustin Olson is Chief Executive Officer for PureCycle Technologies. Prior to joining PureCycle in 2021, Olson spent more than 20 years developing a diverse career path across refining, olefins, specialty chemicals, and specialty polymers throughout the United States, The Netherlands, and China. Earlier in his career, Olson held senior leadership roles in manufacturing, commercial, and business support functions in refining, commodity chemicals, and specialty polymer business units across the world. Olson holds a Bachelor of Science in chemical engineering from the University of Missouri-Rolla, a Master’s in Chemical Engineering from the University of Houston, and a Master’s in Business Administration from Rice University. He supports numerous educational endeavors as a Board Member for the Industrial Advisor Counsel at the University of Missouri-Rolla Department of Chemical Engineering (2009-12), the Rice University Jones School Alumni (2010-13), and the Steeleville High School Foundation (current). In 2021, Olson was honored by the Missouri University of Science and Technology as a new inductee to the Academy of Chemical Engineers.

Tamsin Ettefagh

Chief Sustainability Officer

Ms. Ettefagh has over 32 years of experience in the areas of recycling and plastics recycling, including implementing a recycling collection program, running the recycling operations for a manufacturing recycling facility, purchasing raw materials, and selling recycled resins for plastic recycling companies. Previous to PureCycle, she worked as a Senior Consultant both in an independent capacity and for major consulting firms in the plastics recycling space, focusing on strategy and implementation to advancements in process, primarily in polyolefins. She has consulted for agencies, banks, potential plastic manufacturers on market conditions, types of supply, and how to evolve and diversify markets for recycled resins. Ms. Ettefagh has been an avid public speaker at conferences, symposiums, and in webinars for the past 25 years, and served on several Boards, including the Sustainable Packaging Coalition from 2019 to 2020. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Communications from Texas A&M University.

Brett Hafer

Executive Vice President of Manufacturing

Brett Hafer is Executive Vice President of Manufacturing for PureCycle Technologies and leads the manufacturing, environmental health & safety, engineering, capital projects, supply chain, and digital organizations. Brett has worked with his team to instill a culture that prioritizes safety first to deliver sustainable results and a proper foundation for manufacturing excellence. 

Brett spent more than 20 years developing a depth of operational expertise spending time in leadership roles across oil refining, petrochemical, and polymer manufacturing in both the United States and the Netherlands. Brett holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering and Master of Business Administration from the University of Texas in Austin. He and his wife, Laura, have two children and currently live in Orlando, Florida.

Brad Kalter

General Counsel and Corporate Secretary

Brad Kalter has served as General Counsel and Corporate Secretary since January 2021. Mr. Kalter served as General Counsel, Chief Legal Officer and Secretary of United Insurance Holdings Corp., a property and casualty insurance holding company, from February 2019 to January 2021. From October 2015 to February 2019, Mr. Kalter served as Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary of Exide Technologies (“Exide”), a battery manufacturing and energy storage business, overseeing global legal from 2015 to February 2019. Mr. Kalter was responsible for overseeing the legal functions of the organization including corporate governance, compliance, litigation and subsidiary management, as well as overseeing legal aspects of corporate financing transactions and mergers and acquisitions. Mr. Kalter previously served as Vice President, Deputy General Counsel and Corporate Secretary at Exide from 2009 to September 2015 and also as Exide’s Deputy General Counsel and Corporate Secretary from 2006 to 2008. Prior to joining Exide, Mr. Kalter served as General Counsel at Cotton States Insurance Group, a multi-line insurance group, from 1999 through 2003. Mr. Kalter holds a J.D. from Emory University and a B.A. in Political Science and Communications from the University of Pennsylvania.

Missy Trednick

Company Controller

Melissa “Missy” Trednick has served as the Corporate Controller of PureCycle since February 2021. She has over 25 years of experience in accounting, financial planning, risk management, and external audit. Prior to joining PureCycle, Missy spent the majority of her career working for premier transportation companies, CSX Corporation and Florida East Coast Railway, followed by Advanced Disposal Services, a leading waste management and recycling company that was subsequently purchased by Waste Management. The roles and responsibilities at these organizations included SEC reporting, Sarbanes-Oxley Act compliance, managing shared services, developing capital project budgets, guiding process improvement projects, leading acquisition teams through the purchase process in multi-billion-dollar purchases, and being the champion for key IT systems upgrades and integration projects.

Jaime Vasquez

Chief Financial Officer

Jaime Vasquez joined PureCycle as Chief Financial Officer in February 2024. Mr. Vasquez has more than 20 years of experience as a financial executive and most recently served as Chief Financial Officer at C&D Technologies from September 2020 through November 2022.

Prior to his time with C&D Technologies, Mr. Vasquez was employed at AK Steel, a previously public steel making company, and served as Chief Financial Officer from 2015 through 2019, and previously as Director of Finance from 2014 through 2015. From 2001 to 2014, Mr. Vasquez worked in various financial roles at Carpenter Technology Corporation, a public company that develops, manufactures and distributes stainless steel and corrosion-resistant alloys, including as a division chief financial officer from 2013 through 2014. 

Mr. Vasquez has a Masters in Business Administration from the University of North Carolina – Bryan School of Business and a Bachelor of Arts from Rutgers University.
